Michael Novak

Board Chair and Founding Director

Michael Novak is currently an investor, mentor and advisor to several start-up companies, including one that produces and distributes high protein organic healthy foods made with crickets, sea algae, reishi mushrooms and collagen (Landish Food), a second which is developing a test to measure the amount of cannabis / THC in the human body (Talara Bio) and a third which operates a web platform giving access to a multitude of video games to a large global community of amateurs (Mistplay).

After two years as Chairman of the Board, he is currently Governor of the Federation of Quebec Chambers of Commerce (FCCQ), a network 140 chambers of commerce representing more than 60,000 companies and 150,000 business people from all regions of Quebec.

Michael obtained his accreditation in 2014 as a director of the Institute of Corporate Directors with the ICD.D designation. and seat currently on the board of several NPOs including the Quebec Business Women's Network (RFAQ), the Club Prospérité Diversité du Quebec, Quebec Net Positif as well as V1Studio from Concordia University.

He is a member of the Group of Global Experts and a guest speaker at the Faculty of Desautels management at McGill University and mentor for participating startups at the Concordia University incubator, District 3.
